Firewall and SSL VPN

Firewall and SSL VPN

Firewall and SSL VPN, Managed Firewall

The internet has become the primary choice for most companies and organizations to communicate. Most businesses offer network access via the internet to mobile employees, partners, suppliers, and customers. However, this opens up security vulnerabilities. To protect critical information, many organizations invest in the latest firewalls. However, for a firewall to be effective, it must be configured, managed, monitored, and regularly updated.

Keeping intruders out while maintaining daily operations requires a comprehensive set of security rules and continuous monitoring to ensure your systems and data are protected.

This process can be extremely resource-intensive and financially costly.

By allowing GNS to manage and monitor the operation of your firewalls, you get configuration changes, monitoring, and upgrades, ensuring that you are never exposed to external threats due to misconfigured, outdated, or incorrectly set-up firewalls.

GNS Managed Firewall protects your organization and is monitored 24/7, every day of the week.

When necessary, we collaborate with your in-house IT team to provide analysis, make configuration changes, and proactively respond to threats.

We work with most firewalls, including Cisco, Check Point, Sonicwall, Juniper, Sophos, WatchGuard, Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks, and F5.

You can choose to rent this service from us, where we deliver a complete setup with clustered firewalls, as well as smaller firewalls for branch offices. Renting from us is simple, and we ensure that your firewall is always fully updated, and that all license and support agreements are renewed in time.

Alternatively, we can take over the operation of your existing firewalls.

You will receive:

  • 24/7 proactive monitoring
  • Firewall support
  • Backup and recovery
  • Unlimited policies, rule sets, and changes (including validation)
  • Configuration changes
  • Patches and upgrades
  • Device management (availability, uptime, general maintenance)
  • Monthly status overview reports

SSL VPN

Provide secure access to business-critical applications and data across a wide range of smartphones, tablets, laptops, and desktops. Whether the mobile device is “managed” or “unmanaged,” a security policy can be created and maintained to enable mobile and remote employees, partners, and contractors to access only the data they are authorized for and only from trusted devices.

SSL VPN has several unique features compared to other VPN technologies. Most notably, SSL VPN uses the SSL protocol, Transport Layer Security (TLS), to create a secure connection between remote users and internal network resources. Today, SSL/TLS functionality is available in all modern web browsers. Unlike traditional IP Security (IPSec) remote access VPN technology, which requires the installation of IPSec client software on a user’s device before a connection can be established, users typically do not need to install client software to use SSL VPN. As a result, SSL VPN is also known as “clientless VPN” or “web VPN.”

Another advantage of SSL VPN over IPSec VPN is its user-friendliness for the end-user. Different IPSec VPN providers can have different implementation and configuration requirements. SSL VPN, on the other hand, only requires a modern web browser. End-users can even choose their preferred browser without being limited by the operating system.

SSL VPN is also useful when users are in locations where outbound traffic is regulated, and IPSec connections are blocked. In most environments, HTTPS (443) traffic is allowed, making SSL VPN accessible. We can also configure it so that your users always browse through your office’s internet connection when using the SSL VPN connection.

We offer SSL VPN as a service.
